“Your Money God’s Way: Overcoming the 7 Money Myths That Keep Christians Broke” by Amie Streater

“Your Money God’s Way: Overcoming the 7 Money Myths That Keep Christians Broke” by Amie Streater is a book written to help people get their finances back on track by exposing myths that Christians often believe that hurt their financial status. Each chapter includes a prayer, “God’s Way” (the most important points for the reader to take away from the chapter), and solution steps that can be implemented.

Streater writes in a down to earth style that engages the reader with bouts of humor and her personal, real life stories sprinkled throughout. This book initially interested me because I love reading and studying about personal finance. It contained some thought provoking insights - mainly as to why people do what they do when it comes to money and financial stewardship. Overall, I thought this book was okay (hence the three out of five star rating), but not the first on the list of money books I would recommend to a friend.
